Knowing and Loving your Digital Camera
This six-week, short course team taught by Les and Andrey Walkling provides a thorough introduction to your digital camera and the 'art of capturing what you see and feel'.
Memorable photographs are created, not found. Therefore learning how your camera 'represents the world' and how to change its appearance through your camera's functions and control are critically important skills. Your camera needs to become an extension of your feelings so it never gets in your way, but instead facilitates your creation of more engaging, interesting and meaningful images.
We meet for two and a half hours every week, beginning with a review of your work from the previous week, followed by the acquisition of new skills. Short exercises (both in-class and between classes) help you to practice and consolidate your learning. Class sizes are strictly limited to a maximum of 12 people. This plus two instructors aims to maximize individual attention and detailed feedback on your progress. There is a one week break between classes five and six to allow further consolidation and practice before our final class and review. Digital SLR, advanced mirrorless cameras and all levels of experience are catered for.
